Parking fees checked against Niagara Falls State Park and Niagara Parks pages on October 17, 2026. Fees, seasons and rules change.
Parking is the part of a Niagara Falls boat tour that catches people out. Neither boat operator runs a lot at its dock that we could confirm for Niagara City Cruises, and Maid of the Mist directs you to the state park lots. This guide lists the lots with fees by date, then compares cheapest and closest options. For other ways to arrive, see getting to Niagara Falls. If you are crossing between countries, read the border guide first.
US side: Niagara Falls State Park lots
The Maid of the Mist FAQ says you can park in any of the Niagara Falls State Park lots. It names Lot 1 (333 Prospect St) as closest, and suggests the Goat Island lots (2 or 3) plus walking or the Niagara Scenic Trolley to the Observation Deck. The boat's address is 304 Prospect St; its directions page lists 1 Prospect St and points to the Visitor Center Parking Lot 1.
| Lot | Address | Notes | Fee (cars) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lot 1, Prospect Point | 333 Prospect St | Autos only, year-round; closest to the Welcome Center and Maid of the Mist | See fee table |
| Lot 2, Goat Island | 15 Goat Island Loop Rd | Same fees as Lot 1; best for Cave of the Winds | See fee table |
| Lot 3, Goat Island | 50 Goat Island Rd | Fee schedule published for Fri-Mon and holidays, 8:30 to 5, May 22 to Sep 7, 2026 (ended); free Tue-Thu. RVs $20; tour bus $35. Nothing is published for autumn | $10 on fee days (summer 2026) |
| Lot 4, Great Lakes 360 | 540 Discovery Way | Seasonal; no established fee | None established |
Lots 1 and 2: fee by date
| Dates | Fee |
|---|---|
| Mar 1 to May 21 | $10 daily |
| May 22 to Oct 11 (2026) | $10 Monday to Thursday, $15 Friday to Sunday |
| Oct 12, 2026 to Mar 31, 2027 | $10 daily |
Today is October 17, 2026, so the current Lot 1 and 2 fee is $10. Fees for the 2027 summer are not published. Keep your receipt: the state park says you can re-enter the same day if space is available. The park warns that lots fill early on Fridays, weekends and holidays, and suggests setting your GPS to 10 Rainbow Blvd or using downtown city lots when they are full. Prices are in US dollars. The Lot 3 summer fee schedule (to Sep 7, 2026) has ended and no autumn fee is published; also the state park accessibility and accessible-parking information was not read.
Canada side: parking near Niagara City Cruises
Niagara City Cruises has no lot of its own. Its ticket page says there is paid public parking nearby and along Niagara Parkway. The operator's directions list two lots, the SkyWheel lot at 4960 Clifton Hill and the Fallsview lot at 6650 Niagara Parkway. These are paid flat daily fee lots with 700 or more spaces, no overnight and no in-and-out. We could not find the price. A Clifton Hill listing says the first has accessible spaces, and Niagara Falls Tourism describes it as security patrolled and about one block from the Falls. These details come from a search summary of the operator's directions page and secondary pages, so confirm them.
Other nearby options named by Niagara Falls Tourism are the Casino Niagara garage (5685 Falls Ave) and Easy Parking (5395 Robinson St). No rates were listed for either.
Niagara Parks lots (CAD)
| Lot | Rate | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Rainbow Bridge lot, 4348 Hiram St | $12 an hour | About a 10 minute walk to Niagara City Cruises and the Zipline |
| Rapidsview (Lot C), 4555 Upper Rapids Rd | $10 a day | Seasonal; about 7 to 8 minutes by WEGO Green Line to Table Rock; free with a Niagara Falls Pass bought online |
| Falls Parking (Lot A), 6635 Niagara Pkwy | Variable | Gated, pay on exit, year-round; across from Table Rock Centre; the rate chart was unreadable |
| Queen Victoria Place, 6349 Niagara Pkwy | Variable | Pay and display; closest lot for fireworks viewing (limited) |
| Floral Showhouse (Lot B), 7145 Niagara Pkwy | Variable | Pay and display |
| Butterfly Conservatory, Niagara Glen, White Water Walk, Whirlpool Parkette, Queenston Heights, Dufferin Islands, Kingsbridge Park | $8 an hour | Attraction lots |
| Aero Car lot, 3850 Niagara Pkwy | Free | Not near Table Rock |
Niagara Parks also lists more than 60 free parking areas at the north and south ends of the Parkway, but does not name them. Overnight parking is not allowed at any Niagara Parks lot. You can add a daily parking pass online, which allows re-entry for one calendar day. The Ontario-residents All Lots Parking Pass costs $50 for up to two vehicles and is valid to December 31, 2026.
Rapidsview: check the season
Rapidsview's season is unclear. A search summary of the lot page says it is open daily from late June to Labour Day and on weekends only from mid-May to June, while the Falls Pass page says free parking is valid until November 1, 2026. We could not confirm which applies today, October 17. Free Park and Ride parking with the Falls Pass is online purchase only, applies only at Rapidsview, and cannot be used at other Niagara Parks lots. The Classic tier includes two days of Park and Ride, and no tier includes a boat tour.
Cheapest and closest options
| Goal | Option | Cost (2026 published) |
|---|---|---|
| Closest to Maid of the Mist | State Park Lot 1 | $10 a day in autumn; $15 summer Fri-Sun |
| Alternative US lot | Lot 3 Goat Island, then walk or trolley | Summer 2026 fee schedule ended Sep 7; no autumn fee published, so Lot 1 at $10 is the current figure |
| Closest to Niagara City Cruises | SkyWheel lot or Fallsview lot | Flat daily fee; price not found |
| Cheapest on the Canadian side near the Falls | Rapidsview Lot C plus WEGO | CAD $10 a day, plus WEGO: $16 for 24 hours per adult (about CAD $42 for two adults and the car) |
| Short visit to the dock | Rainbow Bridge lot | CAD $36 for 3 hours, $72 for 6 hours |
| Free | Aero Car lot | Free, but not near Table Rock |
The worked figure above is arithmetic from published prices: Rapidsview at $10 plus two adult 24-hour WEGO passes at $16 each, against three hours at $12 an hour in the Rainbow Bridge lot. For a short boat-only visit, Rainbow Bridge is simple. For a full day with several attractions, a daily-rate lot is usually cheaper than an hourly one. Compare these with ticket costs in our trip cost calculator.
Worked examples
These use published fees only and are arithmetic, not quotes. Real totals depend on tax, the day and how long you stay.
- US side, Friday in July 2026: Lot 1 was $15. The same visit on a Tuesday was $10. In autumn 2026 it is $10 any day.
- US side, Goat Island Lot 3 in summer 2026: the fee applied Friday to Monday and on holidays until Sep 7, and Tuesday to Thursday was free. That schedule has ended, so use Lot 1 at $10 now and check Lot 3 again for 2027.
- Canada, boat and Table Rock in about 2 hours: Rainbow Bridge lot, 2 x CAD $12 = CAD $24, assuming the hourly rate is charged per hour.
- Canada, a full day, two adults: Rapidsview at CAD $10 plus two 24-hour WEGO passes at CAD $16 each = CAD $42. The Rainbow Bridge lot would reach that after 3.5 hours.
- Canada, full day, Falls Pass holder: parking at Rapidsview can be free with a Niagara Falls Pass bought online, subject to the season caveat above.
The Rainbow Bridge lot is the Canadian lot nearest the bridge that we can name. We have no published walking time from it to the American side, so do not plan to park once and ride both boats without testing the crossing first. See the border guide for pedestrian rules.
When to arrive
The state park says lots fill early on Fridays, weekends and holidays. We have no fill-time data for the Canadian lots. Niagara City Cruises describes its own peak as mid-June to Labour Day and holiday weekends, from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm, which suggests arriving before 11:00 am in that window, though the operator does not tie that advice to parking. Both operators open in the morning (Maid of the Mist at 9:00 am, Niagara City Cruises at 9:30 am), so an early arrival gives a choice of spaces. For the day-of-week view, see wait times.
Accessible parking rules
- Niagara Parks: accessible permit holders pay on first park and can re-park free the same day at another paid lot with a receipt. Accessible spaces vary by site.
- The SkyWheel lot is listed with accessible spaces on a Clifton Hill page.
- Niagara City Cruises publishes nothing we found on accessible parking or a shuttle to the dock itself.
- State park accessible parking details were not read.
For lifts, ramps and loaner wheelchairs, see the accessibility guide. Niagara Parks' accessibility line is 1-877-642-7275 (weekdays 9:00-4:30), TTY 1-855-356-5672.
Tips that follow from the sources
- On the US side, arrive early on Fridays, weekends and holidays, because the state park says the lots fill early.
- Do not plan to leave a car overnight in a Niagara Parks lot, or in the SkyWheel or Fallsview lots.
- If you will visit several attractions, ask whether a daily pass or an all-day lot rate is cheaper than hourly parking.
- Check whether in-and-out is allowed before you leave a flat-fee lot; the SkyWheel and Fallsview lots do not allow it.
What we could not verify
- The SkyWheel and Fallsview lot price, and Clifton Hill private lot rates (the Clifton Hill parking page returned an error).
- How rates vary by day and season, and when lots fill.
- Falls Parking (Lot A), Queen Victoria Place and Floral Showhouse lot rates (shown as variable).
- Rapidsview Lot C's seasonal dates.
- State park accessible parking, and the Lot 3 fees outside May 22 to Sep 7, 2026.
- Any 2027 parking prices.
